Monthly favourites: August

Hello, all!

Today, as you may have read, I am going to tell you my monthly favorites of August. I will leave links to everything and also a picture if relevant.

1.Look what you made me do-Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has come back, and she’s come back hard! With a new single that is smashing the charts. In less than a week, she stole the number 1 spot off of Dua Lipa. Her new album, reputation, is out on November the tenth. Just over two months to go! In early September she published another single, are you ready for it?, which has a different vibe to anything she’s ever done before. As she said in her song look what you made me do, the old Taylor is dead and a new one is emerging.

2.The falsies push up drama by Maybelline new york.

This mascara is the bomb! Its brush is like no other I’ve ever used before and it is totally unique. You hardly have to do a thing and your lashes will look simply stunning! The brush is also perfectly shaped to fit your lash shape, with a slight curve and longer bristles on the outer edge so your outer lashes will get more than the inner lashes.

3.Sarahah: Sarahah is an app that lets people leave anonymous sentences about you, however, this is more fun then it seems, because instead of just reading the messages and leaving them, you can post them on Instagram, work out who sent them or even laugh at them with your friends. Overall this app is really fun. Its available in 3 formats, online, on an app or online on your phone.

4.Chocolate fudge cake: Now I know you might think I’m being greedy but, this cake is AMAZ>ING!! It is very similar to a chocolate mud cake but it is less dense. I recommend putting the icing on the top, which will probably be in the recipe, and topping it with double cream whenever you have a slice. I like to have it with a cup of tea when I’m writing my blog. The recipe I use is from a cooking blog and it is linked down below.

5. Cerys Armitage: Cerys Armitage isn’t probably someone you’ve heard of, but she is a thirteen-year-old YouTuber from Leeds. She mainly does videos that suit teenagers. But regardless of your age, try giving her a go. My favourite thing about her channel is the fact that we will grow up with her and see her change because she started youtube so young, you can already see changes in her! Try to ignore the eyebrows!

Back to school

You’ve probably already worked that out from the endless back to school videos on youtube or from your local stationery shop going crazy with sales that it is back to school time. Anyway in this blog I will be telling you about my back to school essentials.

First of all, I am a 12-year-old student starting year 8. However, my school goes up to year 8 all the way from nursery so I am still at primary school. This year is my common entrance year, common entrance is an exam that everyone has to take for 13+ entrance into secondary school.

  1. My school bag: my school has a set school bag with the school logo on that everyone has to use to bring their books to school and back. So I have the plain old boring backpack as everyone else in my school.
  2. Clear Popper Wallets: I use these for my homework because sometimes teachers don’t supply you with homework folders and it all ends up getting crumpled up and destroyed and nearly always lost. (I copied this idea from a friend of mine)
  3. My trusty old pencil case: I have a very simple and small pencil case because then I won’t raid WHSmiths and waste 50 quid. I have two bic 4way pens (The light one and the basic one) A pencil, rubber and highlighter. (All the basics to be honest)
  4. My A4 Pukka Pad: I have an A4 Pink/Blue pukka pad which I use for homework, projects, revision and for giving to my friends because I’m always the only one with paper! I love this pukka pad and would highly recommend it. It comes in a bargain £5 set from Tescos.
  5. My emergency kit: I have an emergency kit in my bag because I seem to be very unprepared and I never have lip balm or a hair bobble etc. So I have a small makeup bag from Oliver Bonas with a blue, orange, pink and grey leopard print on it. Inside there is my baby lips sport lip balm in seas the blue, my extra gum in the spearmint flavour, my Nivea travel size sun cream with an SPF of 30, my soap and glory hand maid (which is a hand gel), some blackcurrant strepsils, some plain black hair bobbles and a miniature hairbrush.

Thank you very much for listening to my very basic back to school blog for 2017, please read more of my posts and click the follow button.

Hey, Guys!

Sorry for not posting in a REALLY REALLY long time. I will try to post more often from now on.

Today I am going to be telling you about my summer wishlist! Here it is:

1.Black Aztec Print Tankini-New Look £6.00 (SALE)Screen Shot 2016-08-12 at 12.24.42.png

I Really like this bikini because I love the Aztec print and the fact that it has no pink on! (All my other bikinis have pink on them somewhere or other). This is currently sold out, but is really cheap!!

2.Adidas hoodie-Topshop £45.00

Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 13.29.32.png

I love the Adidas collection at Topshop soooooooo much. This hoodie is just perfect with the leggings and superstars or Stan Smiths. It adds a sporty look to any outfit, while also looking super neat and stylish! The worst thing about the Adidas collection is that they are so expensive because of the branding. Still worth it though!

3. A colour correcting stick-green
Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 13.42.23.png

When I last went into my local boots I tried using the one by max factor and it blended perfectly onto my skin. It smoothed the skin and covered any blemishes, I was also amazed at how much it lightened my skin!

4.The trebizon books

Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 14.03.21.png

There’s not very much to say about these, but I wanted to read them for a long time! They are by children’s author Anne Digby.

5.A sports top-H&M £12.99

Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 13.54.12.png

I love this style of sports top with a stylish sports bra underneath, it looks relaxed, and the clothing is light and easy to move around in, whatever the weather. If cold you could put a jacket on top or a hoodie-that would have to be very light so that it didn’t weigh you down too much

Hi, guys!

So to start with you really liked my review on the shower jelly from LUSH. I’ve decided to review another product: the bubblegum lip scrub, also from LUSH.

This smells of bubblegum and feels exactly like a body scrub.

This is how it says to use it:

1. Open and put a decent amount on your finger.

2.Apply to lips and keep scrubbing them until you no longer have any of the scrub on your finger.

3.Apply your favourite lip balm and smooth onto your lips.

This always makes my lips feel really smooth and I just… u know luuuv it!

Sorry for the short blog xx

Hi, guys!

Today I’m gonna be doing my hair care routine as part of beauty blog month.-(April)

I’ve decided that each month I’m gonna have a different theme on my blog. This month is beauty Month, May will probably be DIY. I’m gonna try and post once a week minimum. (Sorry if I ever seem inactive, I’m very busy this term at school)

So for hair care routine I normally use Herbal Essences Dazzling shine shampoo, which has a citrus scent. (Picture below)

I lather that in my hair and then I simply just wash it out.

The second thing I use is the conditioner for this shampoo, which also has a citrus scent. (Picture below)

I brush it out, leave it for a few minutes and then rinse it all out.

Occasionally I will use the hair mask for this set which is one that you wash out. (Picture below)

My Method for using it: leave in for five minutes, brush your hair and wash it all out.

The last product I use is my curling mousse. I use the VO5 smoothly does it heat defense mousse.

(Picture below)

I rub this in my hair til it is all in my hair, then I go and curl.

The curling wand I use is the babyliss curling wand pro, it comes with a glove and has different heat settings. (Picture below)

I also have the Babyliss pro crimper, which also has multiple heat settings. (Picture Below)

Lastly is my Remington hair dryer. this hairdryer has lasted me over a year and is STILL going strong! (Picture below)

Thank for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed reading it.

P•S I avoid using products on my hair as much as possible that is why I have so little.

So today I’m gonna be reviewing the LUSH don’t look at me face mask. I bought this four days ago when I went shopping with my friend☺️.

I’m gonna start off by washing my face and hands and tying my hair back.

When opened it smells like lemon and looks like a body scrub more than a face mask. If you want to go ahead and apply to your body do just that, as stated on the tub.

Next, I’m gonna apply it to my face. Being careful because you don’t want to rub it in too much.

I’ve applied it heavily on my nose and some of my cheeks because that is where my skin seems to go bad, but on my forehead and chin, I’ve applied very little because that is where my skin tends to be good.
After it has all been applied leave it on for 10-15 minutes. When it is dry remove it using normal water and whatever tool you want.

After I take off a face mask I usually apply some moisturizer to clean off my face of any unwanted dirt. Today I’m using my trusty amie matte finish moisturizer

Thank you guys for reading this. I highly recommend this product.
